Bob Weiss
I said earlier that Flip Saunders was my preferred choice to replace Nate McMillan, but Bob Weiss will do just fine. In this day and age, he has the most important thing a coach needs: the support of his players. They’re the ones that really made Weiss’ the only candidate for the job.
Weiss also makes the most sense in terms of continuity, and he probably came relatively cheaply, too — surely less than a guy like Saunders would’ve come.

It’s not so much “who’s the coach” as it is on how the team will perform. I think this was smart choice.

I agree, Mike. For the financial and team support reasons, it was smart. They could’ve done a lot worse after the surprising loss of McMillan.
